Your Success - Who is responsible?
This week is all about ‘not giving up’.
We are almost at the end of term one and we thought this was the perfect time to chat about what to do when things get hard!

1. "Failures open the doors to success!" Tell us about a time when you failed with something?
- I failed on athletics, my average jump in long jump is, 4.36m but at zones
in year 7, I wen't to go and jump and my foot slipped, because of me being nervous
and I fell over, but this year, I won't make the same mistake.

2. Tell us about a time when you had success? What did you do to achieve success?
- I was trying to make it into a football team, (In year 7) and I made it into the B team for
football, and I was really proud in that, success is when you achieve a goal that
you have set.
3. We are responsible for our own success and learning. Do you agree or disagree and why?
- I agree, it's not up to anyone else, It's up to you to get the work done.
4. What is a challenge you have faced this year? Explain what happened.
- The challenge that I have faced this year was, being year 8, I don't know, I feel like that year, 8 has been hard, but it's getting a lot better!
5. There's no such thing as an overnight success. What does this mean? Do you agree and why?
- Overnight success means someone getting success very quickly, and achieving one of your goals very fast.
6. Why do we give up? What can we do to avoid giving up in the future? Who can help us?
- Friends, family, people, everyone can help you with a problem.
7. "If you do what is easy, your life will be hard." What is this trying to tell us?
- Don't take the easy option, push yourself to doing bigger things.
8. Inner confidence and self-belief are the keys to success. Do you agree or disagree and why?
- I agree 100% you have to keep trying if you want to achieve something.
9. Who is responsible for your success?
- I'm responsible for my own work, and my own success.
